Growing up in a small Maine town, Sundays were for cleaning. Windows open wide, the curtains dancing in the breeze, the smell of lemon-scented Lestoil, bleach, and sunshine drifting through the house. Freshly washed sheets hung on the line, flapping white sails against the sky. Everything smelled so crisp and clean. Downey-soft bedding, a fresh bath in the evening, and that quiet comfort of a house that felt scrubbed and safe.
Of course, none of us knew back then that those sweet nostalgic memories carried with them years of chemical overload. it wasn't until my mother passed away from cancer in 2013 that I began to rethink the everyday products i used on my body and brought into my home.
My name is Michele. I was named after the actress Michele Lee, though originally my mom wanted to name me after her best friend, Janine. But as she was pushing me into this world, my dad smiled and said, "Hello, Michele Lee". My mom's name was Sherry Lee. She grew up traveling all over Maine because her dad was a construction worker who helped build 395. Her mom and dad were from the little town of North Anson, Maine where our "family home" has stood proud for 200 years of generations. My mother, her mother, her mother and her mother before her. Maine woman- strong, rooted and resilient. This is the stock I came from.
My mother's childhood wasn't easy, but she carried that frit and strength with her all her life. She and I were very close, and it still breaks my heart to think about how she unknowingly fought against years of hidden toxins. Her body, overwhelmed and exhausted, eventually could not fight back. In 2013, after a brave five-year battle with aggressive cancer, I had to say goodbye to her.
The name Shellee is more than a name. It's a legacy. It's a combination of "Sherry" and "Michele," two lives woven together, two women facing the world side by side. For me, it represents courage, memory, and the drive to live cleaner and lighter. My mother's story fuels my mission to help others face fewer toxic burdens, to give families safer paths forward, and yah willing, to live well beyond the age where cancer took both my mom and grandmother.
This is where my journey begins. This is where I welcome you to my home.
For me, the creation of Shellee’s Green was never just about developing another cleaning product line—it was about protecting families. After years of experiencing firsthand the toll that harsh chemicals and ineffective “natural” solutions took on my health, I knew there had to be a better way. That belief became the foundation of Shellee’s Green. When joining with Michael and his team at Synergy Americas is became very clear that every product was thoughtfully developed to deliver the power of a professional clean while staying safe for the people and places that matter most—your children, your pets, and the heart of your home. My vision is simple: to bring families the kind of products I wish I had found years earlier—ones that actually work, without compromise. Shellee’s Green exists today because caring for a clean home should never come at the cost of your family’s well-being.

For those at Shellee’s Green, a truly clean home should never come at the expense of your health or the environment. That’s why every product is designed with both effectiveness and integrity in mind—powerful enough to tackle life’s everyday messes, yet gentle enough to protect the people and spaces you love. Cleaning with a conscience means more than spotless counters and fresh laundry; it means creating a healthier world for families today and a safer planet for generations tomorrow. With Shellee’s Green, every clean is a choice you can feel good about.
At Shellee’s Green, the promise is simple: products that work as hard as you do, without compromising your family’s health or the planet. Michele and the team behind Shellee’s Green believe that safe, eco-friendly cleaning should never mean sacrificing performance. Every formula is carefully created to be tough on dirt, gentle on your home, and kind to the
environment. The commitment runs deeper than just clean countertops or fresh laundry—it’s about giving you peace of mind, knowing that what you bring into your home is safe, effective, and made with care. Shellee’s Green promises to always put families first, to never cut corners, and to deliver products you can trust—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
For those at Shellee’s Green, being eco-conscious isn’t just a tagline—it’s a way of doing business. From product formulation to packaging, storage, and shipping, every step is carefully designed to minimize environmental impact. All plastic containers are made from #1 or #2 recyclable plastics, widely accepted by recycling programs, while shipping materials are biodegradable cardboard whenever possible. The Clo2 tablets come in moisture-proof PE kraft pouches, which, while not compostable, create far less waste than traditional bottles, spray cans, or large plastic jugs. Looking ahead, Shellee’s Green is committed to transitioning all packaging—laundry products, Clo2 tablets, and shipping materials—to fully compostable solutions by 2027.
The team also aims to partner with shipping providers that offer the lowest emissions, continually improving the environmental footprint of every product journey. At Shellee’s Green, being green means putting the Earth, families, and future generations at the forefront of every decision, ensuring that cleaning your home doesn’t come at a cost to the planet.
The imagery used throughout the site we chose to represent the brand because it reminds us of a time when life was simpler, when families gathered around the kitchen table, when laundry on the line told stories of care and when the clean home was a symbol of love. The Style captures not just pictures but feelings: the warmth of sunlight through open windows, the joy of community, and the comfort of every day rituals or in the photo above that feeling of joy you had as a child of freshly baked cookies that mom made when they just came out of the oven. That's the heart we want to bring into our brand, because clean living isn't just about removing dirt and toxins, it's about reviving the soul of home, weaving nostalgia with hope for a healthier tomorrow for this generation and next.
